Studying In Canada

Jaber Immigration Consultancy

An increasing number of students worldwide are choosing Canada as their top destination for higher education and settling down after graduation. Canada is no longer an underrated choice for obtaining a degree because it offers a clear path to permanent citizenship, which students highly desire. For over 20 years, Canada has consistently ranked among the top ten countries to live in globally, and its education system is widely recognized as one of the finest.

In 2019, data from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada revealed that Canada hosted around 642,000 international students. This highlights Canada's status as a preferred choice for international students, offering high-quality education at a lower cost than countries like the US, UK, and Australia. Canada's multicultural environment and the opportunity to apply for a temporary work permit after completing studies make it an appealing educational destination.

01

How to Study in Canada

To begin, select the program of your choice. Then, apply to a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada. Once accepted, apply for a study permit to study in Canada legally. If you intend to stay in Canada after finishing your program, you will have several options to explore for obtaining permanent residency.

02

Why to Study in Canada?

International students can receive a high-quality education at Canadian schools, which offer employment opportunities during and after their studies and the potential for permanent residency. Canada is a safe and welcoming environment for students from diverse backgrounds, and compared to other popular international student destinations, it is affordable. Students can also apply for a post-graduation work permit and extend their study permit if needed. Overall, Canada provides excellent opportunities for international students to thrive.

03

Educational System in Canada

Canada has a roster of approved schools known as Designated Learning Institutions (DLI) that can admit international students for education. To secure a study permit, applicants must first acquire an acceptance letter from their intended DLI. It's important to remember that all elementary and high schools in Canada are considered DLIs.

Upon finishing high school, students can choose to continue their education in post-secondary institutions for advanced studies. The application process, fees, language proficiency requirements, and acceptance methods vary among institutions, whether a college, university, private career college or vocational and technical school.
